Our residential program is for ladies aged 18-39 and is 30 days in length. We provide treatment and counseling for those with life-controlling problems.

Teen Challenge North Carolina attempts to help the whole person, not just the substance abuse problem.  Most residents in Teen Challenge come with a variety of life-controlling problems which lead the person to a life of brokenness.  If those problems are not addressed, there is little chance of long term success.

For many coming to Teen Challenge, substance abuse is the most obvious life-controlling problem.  However, often it is not their only problem.  Over 57% of the women coming into the program have been sexually abused.  For many of these, drugs were a means of medicating the pain resulting from that abuse.

The Teen Challenge approach to helping those with life controlling problems is to teach a whole new way of living.  The program curriculum addresses issues surrounding the family issues, grief and loss, codependency, boundaries and other real life skills.

Teen Challenge believes that the key to recovery and healing is based on a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  This relationship provides the motivation and power for developing a whole new way of living.
