In Loving Memory of Pat Scarlett

    Mr. George Patton "Pat" Scarlett, 60, a loving husband, father and grandfather, of Scarlett Lane, Mocksville passed away Thursday, June 23, 2005, from injuries sustained in an airplane accident.  He was born in Troy to the late Nell Haywood Scarlett.  Mr. Scarlett was the former owner and operator of Pat's Body Shop and Scarlett Marine in Winston-Salem, N. C. Pat was a leader of a weekly Bible study group in his home and was active in volunteering for Alpha Acres and Teen Challenge of Harmony, N. C.  He loved to fly and hosted the Scarlett Airfiled Annual Fly-In for local charities.  In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Courtney Scarlett.  Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Marisa Scarlett; children Faith and Hope Scarlett of the home; Mike Scarlett and Scott (Lisa) Scarlett, all of Lexington, Tim (Jessica) Scarlett of Mocksville, and Jolene Scarlett (Chris) Thomas of Winston-Salem, with former wife Darlene Stewart; eight grandchildren, Russ, Briona and Areille, Matthew and Megan Scarlett, Tyler, Blayton and Collin Thomas; two sisters Sandy Chaney and Lori Langford, his mother in law Carol (Ed) McCaffrey; sisters in law Susan (Scott) Gibney and Linda (Peter) Homer and Joanne (Chris) Pitfick and several nieces, nephews and close friends.  A private ceremony was held on Sunday, June 26.  Memorials may be made to Teen Challenge 604 Rock Springs Road, Harmony, NC  28634.
