Volunteers In Partnership
Do you feel called to missions? Did you know that there was a missions
field right here in the USA? Teen Challenge of North Carolina is a mission
field full of endless possibilities and you can be a part of our ministry in
many different ways.
Opportunities for Service
Teaching
You can teach etiquette, computer applications, Bible Study,
gardening, home economics, crafts, or any skill that would be beneficial to
students' growth.
Office
You can assist in our mailing each month and provide basic support
for office staff by answering the telephones, making calls, and putting
booklets together.
Maintenance
You can assist in painting, electrical jobs, and basic home and
grounds maintenance. Larger renovation projects are planned monthly based
on available volunteers.
Staff Support
You can monitor Study Hall while the staff meets weekly for a staff
meeting.
Cooking
You can help to teach students your special recipe or you can prepare
a special meal for the students on their birthdays and/or special
occasions. You can also prepare meals for the freezers so that they can be
pulled on Sundays for quick meals or when families are at the center.
Overnight care
You can provide relief for staff. Staff attends conferences
throughout the year and volunteers are needed to stay on campus with the
students while staff is in training.
Chapel
You can lead singing or teaching in Chapel at 8:30 a.m. Monday
through Friday or on Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m. Special groups can also
attend.
Weekend assistance
You can assist staff on Saturday's between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. in
leading special fun activities. You or your group can commit for as little
as an hour or as along as you need to play games or exercise on campus for
positive interaction with our students.
